Name and History
Introduced in the 1850s from England where it goes by alternate name Half Pint. Both names refer to the small size of the plants; Tom Thumb is the name of a character from a fairy tale.
Uses
Delicious fresh shelling pea. Size makes it a good candidate for containers or window boxes.
Description
Growth: A real miniature that doesn't require staking and tops out at a maximum of 12 inches. Will bear at only 4 inches tall.
