Name and History

I don't know where the name comes from, but "Tarkara" isn't a Japanese word. Maybe it's a misspelling of "takara," which means "treasure."

First offered in the Seed Savers Exchange in 1983 by B.B. of New York, who got it from Wanigan Associates' collection.
