Name and History

An old bean variety of northeastern America, particularly Maine and the Abnaki/Abenaki people. Reintroduced by John Withee & Wanigan Associates in the 1980s.

Uses

Dry or shelly. Supposed to be excellent for baking.

Seeds: Fat, round, and fairly large; solid dark red.
