I'm using the term "American Indian" instead of "Native American" because, as of a 1995 survey of indigenous Americans, that term was preferred by 49% of respondents, versus 35% for "Native American."  From my explorations of official tribal websites that seems to still be the case, but if that or any related terminology is out of date please let me know and I will make changes right away.
